The India Meteorological Department has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall warnings for several districts in Kerala over the next five days. Persistent downpours accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds are expected.
Orange alert (Very heavy rainfall)
Isolated very heavy rainfall between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm within 24 hours, accompanied by thunderstorms.

Yellow alert (Heavy rainfall)
Isolated heavy rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours, accompanied by thunderstorms.
