Kochi: The High Court granted bail to 10 CPM members accused in the Panoor Mansoor murder case. Bail was granted on condition that they should not enter Kannur Revenue District and must not influence the witnesses in the case.
Relatives of Mansoor had earlier approached the court requesting to deny bail to the accused. In view of this, the accused were barred from entering the district.
Mansoor, a Muslim League worker, was killed on the polling day during the 2021 assembly elections. Mansoor was killed after the attackers hurled a bomb at him. All those arrested in the case are local CPM members. Ratheesh, one of the accused in the case, was later found hanging.
