
Kannur: The house of the accused in Panoor Mansoor murder case was set on fire on Tuesday at about 1.30 am. The police and fireforce said that the incident happened early morning.
P P Jabir is the CPM Valluvakandi branch secretary and local committee member. Jabir has been named as the 10th accused in the killing of Mansoor, a Muslim League activist.
The back side of the house was set ablaze and a part of the house was destroyed in the fire. The Nano car and a scooter parked on the front yard was destroyed completely in the fire. The fire was brought under control after police and fireforce reached the place. According to the preliminary investigation by police, political enemity may be the reason behind this.
