IMD has now issued a yellow alert for nine districts and has warned that temperatures will likely be be two or three degrees above the normal temperature until April 3, 2024.
The highest temperatures are probably going to be around 40˚C in Palakkad, 39˚C in the districts of Kollam and Thrissur; approximately 37˚C in the districts of Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kannur; and around 36˚C in the district of Thiruvananthapuram.
