Kollam: The CPM's organisational report offers a comprehensive evaluation of party leaders, assessing their performance and activities. The report praises and criticises leaders, advising them to proceed with caution in their roles. It highlights that while the factional tendencies that once plagued the party have mostly disappeared, some individuals still exhibit such traits, which can lead to issues at the local level.
The report emphasises that if leaders are found to be using the party for personal gain rather than mobilising people for the party's cause, strict disciplinary actions will be taken.
The report acknowledges central committee member Thomas Isaac for participating in party programs but suggests he should focus more on attending secretariat meetings. On the other hand, it praises KN Balagopal for his exceptional work as Finance Minister during the economic crisis.
Additionally, the report commends K.K. Shailaja for effectively fulfilling her responsibilities since taking charge of the party, while Saji Cherian is recognised for his strong leadership of the cultural department.
The report also defends Minister PA Muhammad Riyas, describing him as a victim of media attacks due to his consistent political interventions. The media has been targeting him for his comments on political issues. A.K. Balan is noted for regularly attending district committee meetings and other events organized by the Secretariat, along with offering clear and forthright political opinions. LDF Convenor T.P. Ramakrishnan is praised for his active involvement in specific activities, notably as the state president of the headload workers union and the state president of CITU.
