
Malappuram: With the daily Covid cases on the rise in Malappuram district even after triple lockdown was imposed, the district authority has enforced more stricter regulations on Sunday.
With triple lockdown continuing in the district, even shops selling essential goods will not open on Sunday. District collector K Gopalakrishnan issued an order announcing the new guidelines for the district.
Milk, newspaper, medical shops and essentials besides petrol pumps, covid prevention activities will be allowed to function, the district collector informed.
Hotels will function only for home deliveries. A lockdown with similar restrictions was enforced even last Sunday.
