Riyadh: There has been no decision yet on the release of Kozhikode native Abdul Rahim after the Saudi Court cancelled his death sentence. The court reviewed his release petition on Monday but stated that the bench that annulled the death sentence must issue the final judgement and that the Chief Justice's office will determine the next steps.

Rahim's lawyer, Osama Al Amber, along with Indian Embassy official Yusuf Kakkanchery and Rahim's family representative Siddique Tuvvur, attended the court session in the morning.
