More than 500 tickets are still available on the Yeshwantpur–Thiruvananthapuram North Garib Rath Express for April 2

Bengaluru: On trains departing from Bengaluru to Kerala during the days associated with Easter, confirmed berth tickets were sold out within hours of the opening of reservations. Tickets were sold out very quickly on the Bengaluru–Kanyakumari Express (16526) departing on April 1 and 2.
As per bookings up to 8 pm on Sunday, reservations on both these trains are on the waiting list. Confirmed berth tickets have been booked in all classes, including Sleeper, AC Economy, and Third AC.
Although Easter falls on April 5, most people travelling home usually plan their journey to reach Kerala by at least Maundy Thursday morning. As a result, trains departing from Bengaluru on April 1 witness heavy rush.
Reservations for these dates opened on Saturday, and confirmed berth tickets were sold out within an hour. With a surge in demand for tickets on trains departing on Maundy Thursday as well, similar situation was seen.
For the Bengaluru–Kanyakumari Express starting on April 1, more than 90 waiting-list tickets have already been sold in the Sleeper class. The waiting list stands at 30 in AC Economy and 63 in Third AC. For April 2, for which reservations opened on Sunday, around 60 waiting-list tickets were sold in the Sleeper class on the very first day.
Bookings are also going on for the Mysuru–Thiruvananthapuram North Express (16315), another daily train to south Kerala. On this train, confirmed berth tickets in the Sleeper and Third AC classes for April 1 are sold out. For the April 2, as per reservations up to 8 pm on Sunday, fewer than 30 tickets remain available.
Meanwhile, more than 500 tickets are still available on the Yeshwantpur–Thiruvananthapuram North Garib Rath Express for April 2.
