Chalakudy (Thrissur): A man was killed when a bike and a lorry collided with each other at the Potta Ashram signal on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Aneesh (40), son of Ashokan from VR Puram Njarakkal. The incident occurred around 7:30 am while Aneesh, a carpenter, was on his way to work.

The accident happened when Aneesh's bike collided with the lorry while crossing the road. The lorry was laden with chemicals when the accident occured. Following the collision, the lorry caught fire and was completely destroyed. The fire prevented rescue efforts

After the crash, the lorry dragged the bike for nearly 100 meters before coming to a stop. During this time, the fire spread, and Aneesh sustained burn injuries.
