Mumbai: Contrary to earlier speculations, Mumbai Police have clarified that the person brought in for questioning in connection with the Saif Ali Khan attack is not related to the case. There had been reports suggesting that the key suspect in the brutal stabbing of the Bollywood actor had been arrested, but the police have now confirmed that no one has been detained in connection with the incident as of now.
The attack, which took place early on Thursday morning, saw an intruder break into Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence, where he and his wife, Kareena Kapoor, were asleep. The suspect, armed with a deadly weapon, confronted the actor’s maid. As the altercation escalated, Saif intervened and was stabbed multiple times before the attacker fled the scene.

Mumbai Police launched an immediate investigation, identifying the suspect who was last seen near Bandra railway station. Police believe the assailant then caught a local train, fleeing towards Vasai Virar. Teams have been searching the area, but no arrests have been made thus far.
During the investigation, authorities recovered a portion of the knife from Saif’s back, and efforts to locate the remaining part of the blade are ongoing. Saif, who underwent surgery for the 2.5-inch knife lodged in his spine, is recovering well in Lilavati Hospital and is said to be "out of danger."
The actor’s maid, in her statement, revealed that the intruder demanded a ransom of one crore rupees. She also reported that the assailant used a hexa blade, injuring her before attacking Saif. The incident has sent shockwaves through the city, but the police have reiterated that no one has been arrested in connection to the attack yet.
