Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is said to be out of danger after undergoing surgery following a shocking attack at his residence early on Thursday. Saif's condition is now stable, and he is under close observation at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. Sources confirm that the actor was injured during a violent scuffle with an intruder who entered his home, but after immediate medical attention, he is out of danger.

According to statements from the actor’s maid, the attack occurred when the intruder confronted her inside the house. As Saif Ali Khan intervened to protect her and his children, the confrontation quickly escalated into a violent scuffle, during which the actor sustained injuries. Saif reportedly called the police from his residence to inform them about the incident.

Sources also reveal that floor polishing work was ongoing at the actor's home during the attack, which may have contributed to the circumstances surrounding the intruder's access to the property. Authorities have yet to confirm if the intruder had been inside the premises prior to the attack, although CCTV footage shows no signs of entry within two hours before the incident.

The investigation, now led by the Crime Branch, is focusing on whether there may have been insider involvement, as authorities are reviewing the details of the case. Several reports suggest that the intruder may have initially entered the room of Saif's younger son, Jeh, where he was spotted by the maid. The maid’s shout alerted Saif, who rushed to protect his family.

While some sources suggest that the attack involved a single individual, others claim there may have been multiple people involved in the assault. Authorities are working to clarify the full extent of the incident and identify any suspects.

Saif’s children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, were spotted entering the hospital. The couple’s children were reportedly not harmed during the attack.

Mumbai Police continue investigation

Mumbai Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with eight teams from the Crime Branch assigned to probe the case. While initial reports suggested a potential link to the infamous Salman Khan case or the Bishnoi gang, authorities have ruled out any connection at this stage.
