Rohtak: Haryana’s Rohtak district experienced mild earthquake tremors on Sunday at 12:14 PM IST, according to reports from locals and the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The 3.3-magnitude quake originated 17 kilometers southeast of Rohtak at a shallow depth of 5 kilometers.

The sudden shaking prompted residents to evacuate their homes as a precaution, though the tremors lasted only a few seconds. Several locals reported feeling the ground shake lightly, but life in the city quickly returned to normal.

Authorities have confirmed that no casualties or property damage occurred due to the tremor. Detailed assessments regarding the quake’s intensity and any aftershocks are awaited from official agencies.

The NCS continues to monitor seismic activity across the region and advises citizens to remain alert but calm in the event of further tremors.
