Pandharpur: A Class 10 graduate, Dattatraya Sadashiv Pawar, has been found running a clinic here in Maharashtra without any medical qualifications. Pawar, who admitted to receiving just four days of training in Satara, had been treating patients for serious medical conditions, including diabetes and bone disorders, for the past three years.

Charging Rs 500 per consultation, Pawar reportedly attended to 70-80 patients daily. His clinic, which operated in both Pandharpur and Shegaon, came under scrutiny after local residents raised concerns about his medical practices, prompting an investigation by the health department.

Following a raid conducted with the assistance of the police and municipal authorities, it was uncovered that Pawar lacked the necessary medical license and certification to operate a healthcare facility.

Authorities have since shut down the clinic, and an investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of potential malpractice.

This incident shows the growing problem of fraud in the healthcare sector and highlights the urgent need for stricter enforcement of medical regulations to protect public health.
