The crime scene reconstruction involving co-accused Siya Goyal had already been completed earlier as part of the investigation

Pune: The Pune Rural Police on Wednesday recreated the crime scene at Lohagad Fort in the Ketan Agrawal murder case, taking accused Chetan Chaudhary to the site and using a dummy matching the victim's weight to reconstruct how the incident allegedly took place.
According to investigators, the reconstruction was carried out to verify the sequence of events described by the accused and to support the ongoing forensic examination, including gait analysis.

Speaking after the exercise, Additional Superintendent of Police Shubham Kumar said Chaudhary guided officers through the events of the day.
"We took Chetan Chaudhary to the scene for reconstruction, and he explained the sequence of events. The investigation is underway. The dummy was designed according to the weight of Ketan," Kumar said.
Police said the weighted dummy was intended to help recreate the circumstances surrounding Agrawal's fatal fall and assess the accused's account. The exercise also forms part of efforts to verify movement patterns through forensic gait analysis, which examines the way a person walks or runs and is often used to compare suspects captured in CCTV or video footage.
The crime scene reconstruction involving co-accused Siya Goyal had already been completed earlier as part of the investigation.
On Tuesday, authorities temporarily closed Lohagad Fort to visitors and evacuated tourists already at the site while investigative procedures were carried out. The fort had previously been shut for a similar reconstruction exercise involving Goyal.
Ketan Agrawal died after falling from Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Police later registered a murder case and arrested Goyal and Chaudhary on June 23.
Investigators suspect that Goyal, who was engaged to Agrawal, was reluctant to marry at this stage of her life and was allegedly facing family pressure to proceed with the marriage.
In view of the high-profile nature of the case, the Maharashtra government has approved a fast-track court to hear the matter and appointed senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Ujjwal Nikam as the Special Public Prosecutor.
Both Goyal and Chaudhary remain in police custody until July 3 as the investigation continues.
