Police claim Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary explored assault, contract killing and other methods before allegedly pushing Ketan Agarwal off Lohagad Fort.

Pune: A chilling new angle has emerged in the investigation into the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, with Pune Rural Police claiming that the accused, Siya Goyal and her alleged accomplice Chetan Chaudhary, explored multiple ways to eliminate him before allegedly pushing him off Lohagad Fort.
According to senior police sources, the duo allegedly discussed hiring a third person to attack Ketan and considered several options, including getting him assaulted, breaking his arms and legs, or having him killed by someone else. Investigators claim they examined different methods before allegedly settling on the plan to push him into a gorge at Lohagad Fort.

Police sources further alleged that Goyal and Chaudhary watched multiple videos to understand different ways a person could be killed and discussed strategies to avoid detection after the crime.
These claims are based on the ongoing investigation, and further details are awaited.
Both are currently lodged in Yerawada Central Jail under judicial custody. A Pune court on July 16 extended their judicial custody by 14 days in connection with the case.
What was initially believed to be an accidental fall at Maharashtra's Lohagad Fort on June 18 has since turned into an alleged case of premeditated murder. According to police, Ketan Agarwal, 26, was allegedly pushed into a gorge as part of a conspiracy hatched by his fiancée, Goyal Goyal, 20, and Chaudhary Chaudhary, 22.
Police said Agarwal and Goyal got engaged on February 19 and were scheduled to marry later this year. Investigators allege that Goyal had been in a relationship with Chaudhary since October 2025 and did not want to go ahead with the marriage.
