Prashant Kishor has questioned the Bihar election results, claiming that the voting trend did not match the response he witnessed during his campaign.

Patna: Prashant Kishor has voiced strong reservations about the Bihar Assembly election results, arguing that the final voting pattern does not match the public sentiment he observed during months of campaigning.
The Jan Suraaj Party (JSP), which contested its first Assembly election, expected a vote share of between 10 and 20 per cent based on feedback from its outreach. However, Kishor said many voters ultimately changed their decision, believing the party had little chance of winning.
Claims of Irregularities but No Proof Provided
Kishor said he noticed what he described as irregularities in the outcome but clarified that he has no concrete evidence to substantiate those suspicions. He also highlighted two factors he believes contributed significantly to the National Democratic Alliance’s landslide victory: the Rs 10,000 financial assistance provided to women for self-employment schemes, and a sense of fear among some sections of the electorate about the possibility of returning to what critics call ‘Jungleraaj’.
Following the results, Kishor stated that the JSP will prioritise building a stronger organisational structure ahead of the next election cycle. He maintained that one electoral loss does not define his political future, noting that many of those criticising him now were the same voices applauding his achievements as an election strategist in earlier years.
Party to Review Setback After Failing to Win Seats
Despite an extensive ground campaign and widespread digital outreach, the Jan Suraaj Party failed to win any seats in its debut Assembly election. Kishor said the party will conduct an internal assessment to understand the reasons for its poor performance. He added that the JSP remains committed to raising public issues and engaging with residents across Bihar as it prepares for future electoral contests.
