The embassy said it is "closely coordinating" with the Kuwaiti authorities to render all possible support and assistance to the bereaved family as well as those injured in the incident.

Dubai: An Indian national was killed and dozens of people were injured after an attack targeted Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, prompting the suspension of air traffic and triggering emergency rescue operations, officials said.
In a post on X, the Embassy of India in Kuwait expressed its "deepest condolences at the tragic demise of an Indian national due to an attack on the airport in Kuwait today".
The embassy said it is "closely coordinating" with the Kuwaiti authorities to render all possible support and assistance to the bereaved family as well as those injured in the incident.
According to Kuwaiti authorities, air traffic was suspended after Iranian strikes hit Terminal One of Kuwait International Airport, causing casualties and damage to airport facilities.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi, quoted by the state-run KUNA news agency, said the strikes impacted airport operations and infrastructure, forcing authorities to halt air traffic.
Health Ministry spokesperson Abdullah al-Sanad said emergency services responded immediately to the attack.
"63 injured individuals were received and distributed among hospitals... This includes serious injuries... including head wounds, cerebral hemorrhages, amputations and injuries resulting from explosions," he said.
Al-Sanad added that 25 ambulances were dispatched to Kuwait International Airport to transport the injured to hospitals across the country.
The attack came amid escalating regional tensions. Iran's Revolutionary Guards claimed responsibility for strikes against targets in Kuwait and Bahrain, describing them as retaliation for recent US military actions.
"In response to this aggression, the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, which hosts helicopters, as well as the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, were targeted with missiles and drones by the Guards' forces," the Guards said in a statement on their official Telegram channel.
