Experience the aromatic flavours of Kerala at 35,000 feet — from slow-cooked Malabar Biryani to Malabari Chicken Curry, Air India’s new inflight menu is a culinary journey across India and beyond.

Air India, India’s premier global airline, has unveiled a refreshed international menu that brings the rich, aromatic flavours of Kerala and India’s diverse culinary heritage right to your seat at 35,000 feet. From the slow-cooked Malabar Biryani infused with authentic spices to the delicate flavours of Malabari Chicken Curry and Kerala-style tapioca with fish curry, travellers can now savour Kerala’s coastal culinary treasures alongside global favourites.
The menu, curated by Chef Sandeep Kalra, blends regional Indian delights with international flavours such as Korean Bibimbap, Japanese Teppanyaki bowls and European-inspired tapas. Guests travelling First Class can enjoy gourmet meals with artisanal breads and signature desserts. Business Class passengers can savour Kerala highlights like Malabar Biryani and Malabari Chicken Curry, alongside comforting homestyle favourites, while Premium Economy offers Kerala classics paired with balanced global options.
Air India’s new menu celebrates plant-based and special dietary options, ensuring vegan, gluten-free and allergen-conscious dishes are available for all travellers. Every meal is thoughtfully sourced, prepared and served with care for the environment and community.
“At the very core, the new food and beverage enhancements draw inspiration from Air India's commitment to continuous innovation and transforming the customer experience. We are reimagining the inflight dining experience that resonates with the tastes and preferences of global travellers. Our thoughtfully curated menu caters to guests from different cultural affinities who prefer delectable gourmet meals. We endeavour to master the art of menu design and presentation to ensure every inflight meal goes beyond taste into serving care and culinary excellence,” said Rajesh Dogra, chief customer experience officer, Air India.
With this upgrade, Air India says it is not just offering a meal, but bringing the flavours of India’s culinary heritage, including that of Kerala, onboard, promising a dining experience as rich and vibrant as the destinations it connects.
