A speeding XUV700 lost control on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Bhimpura village on Friday morning, plunging into a ditch and killing five people, including a 15-year-old and a 60-year-old man.
New Delhi: A Mahindra XUV700 lost control on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Bhimpura village on Friday morning, plunging into a ditch and killing all five occupants. The vehicle, registered as MHO3 EL 1388, was travelling from Delhi towards Gujarat when the driver reportedly lost control at around 7 am.
The car broke through the expressway railing and fell into a ditch near the Mahi river. CCTV footage captured the vehicle veering off at high speed, with the front and roof severely damaged. Parts of the bumper and number plate were scattered near the site of the crash.

All five passengers died in the accident. They have been identified as Ghulam Rasool (70), Khalis Choudhary, Abdul Ghulam Choudhary, Danish Choudhary (15), and Durgesh Prasad (35). The victims were residents of Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
Local residents assisted the police in retrieving the bodies from the wrecked car. The remains have been sent to Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Pandey Government Medical College in Ratlam for post-mortem examinations, which will be conducted once the families arrive.
The police have launched a formal inquiry into the accident. Investigators are examining whether driver error, speed, or other factors contributed to the crash. The incident has raised concerns about road safety on the busy Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
