New Delhi: Delhi Police used a viral trending video format to announce the arrest of a 22-year-old man accused of performing dangerous motorcycle stunts and filming risky social media reels on busy roads in northeast Delhi.

The creative post shared by Delhi Police quickly gained attention online, turning the arrest itself into a trending topic while sending a strong message about road safety and reckless social media stunts.

The accused, identified as Tushar Puniya, a resident of Khajuri Khas, came under police radar after a video went viral on February 16. The clip showed him riding a motorcycle without a registration plate and opening doors of moving vehicles, including a DTC bus, while navigating through traffic.

Police said the stunts posed a serious threat to public safety and appeared to be performed solely for social media content.

After taking note of the viral video, Delhi Police registered a case at New Usmanpur Police Station and launched an investigation.

A dedicated team analysed CCTV footage and examined the viral reel to identify the biker. Following technical and field investigation, police traced and arrested the accused. The motorcycle used in the stunt was also seized.

Officials said the biker had removed the number plate to avoid being identified while shooting the video.
