Rajasthan: A major political standoff unfolded in the Rajasthan Assembly, as Congress MLAs staged a sit-in protest inside the House following the suspension of six party legislators for alleged "indecent behavior." The protest has led to heated exchanges between the ruling and opposition parties, with state parliamentary affairs minister Jogaram Patel and MoS Jawaharsingh Bedham reaching the Assembly to persuade the agitating members.

To sustain their demonstration, the protesting MLAs have arranged quilts and mattresses, indicating their intent to continue their protest overnight. The protest follows a dramatic suspension order issued during the Budget Session, sparking sharp criticism from Congress leaders, who have termed the decision undemocratic and politically motivated.

The suspended MLAs were accused of creating disruptions in the House, leading to their expulsion from the remainder of the session. Congress members argue that the suspensions were unjustified, calling it an attack on democratic expression within the Assembly.

As the political crisis intensifies, the ruling government has urged the protesters to end their sit-in, with Jogaram Patel and Jawaharsingh Bedham attempting to mediate a resolution. However, the MLAs remain firm in their demand for the revocation of suspensions and a fair hearing on the matter.
