The world-famous 128th Flower Show in Ooty has transformed the Government Botanical Garden into a colourful celebration of Tamil culture, featuring over 10 lakh flowers crafted into replicas of iconic landmarks, temples and traditional symbols.

The 128th Flower Show at the Government Botanical Garden in Ooty has transformed the hill station into a vibrant celebration of Tamil culture and heritage, with over 10 lakh flowers recreating iconic landmarks and traditional symbols. Floral replicas of Chennai Central Railway Station, temple structures, cultural motifs and a towering lighthouse have become major attractions, all set against the scenic backdrop of the Nilgiri hills. This year’s theme also pays tribute to the famed Thiruvalluvar Statue, drawing tourists from across the country to witness the elaborate floral artistry.
Visitors praised the creativity and scale of the event, with many highlighting the pleasant weather and intricate flower arrangements as key highlights of the experience. The annual flower show, which began on Monday and will continue till May 28, is expected to attract thousands of visitors, turning Ooty into a colourful showcase of art, culture and tourism.
