Save water, save money: Indore offers 10% property tax rebate to homeowners
Indore offers a 10% property tax rebate for homes with rainwater harvesting systems to boost groundwater and water conservation.
Indore has introduced a new incentive that combines water conservation with direct financial benefits for residents. The Indore Municipal Corporation has approved a 10 per cent property tax rebate for homeowners who install and maintain functional rainwater harvesting systems.
The initiative is designed to encourage widespread adoption of rooftop rainwater harvesting and strengthen groundwater recharge across the city. Authorities have also made rainwater harvesting mandatory during building plan approvals, making sustainable water management a key part of urban development.
