Dinosaurs recreated using 4.5 tonnes of fruits have become the star attraction at the 66th Fruit Show in Coonoor’s Sim’s Park
Dinosaurs made a spectacular comeback at the 66th Fruit Show in Coonoor, drawing huge crowds with a unique “Jurassic Park” themed display crafted entirely from fruits. Held at the scenic Sim’s Park as part of the annual Summer Festival in the Nilgiris, the exhibition features nearly 4.5 tonnes of fruits transformed into lifelike dinosaur models, birds, and other prehistoric creatures.
Visitors were amazed by the creativity and detailing of the displays, made using bananas, red bananas, pineapples, strawberries, dates, and gooseberries, along with vibrant floral decorations.
Many families and tourists described the exhibition as a visual treat and a must-visit attraction during the summer season. Children especially were thrilled to see creatures they had only read about in books recreated using real fruits.
The fruit show has become one of the biggest crowd-pullers of the Nilgiris Summer Festival, blending art, nature, and imagination in a colorful celebration.
