A bridge in Bihar’s West Champaran district is raising serious safety concerns as visible signs of deterioration emerge ahead of the monsoon season.

Built in 2014 over the Balor River, the structure serves as a key link between Narkatiaganj and Ramnagar and supports heavy daily traffic, including trucks and passenger vehicles.

Residents say sections of concrete around the bridge pillars have worn away, exposing steel reinforcement bars and increasing fears about structural safety.

Locals describe the bridge as a critical transport route and warn that continued damage could lead to major disruption or even an accident if repairs are delayed.

Truck drivers who regularly use the route have also called for immediate restoration work, saying deteriorating conditions create inconvenience and concern.

Villagers are now urging district authorities and bridge officials to conduct an urgent inspection and begin repairs before monsoon rains intensify the situation.
