Singer Amrutha Suresh has expressed her desire for change after years of feeling suppressed and silent. In a note shared on social media alongside her sister Abhirami, she opened up about her feelings and struggles.

Amrutha also shared her concern for her little girl at home who is "growing up with many dreams." She described her efforts to navigate through the emotional turmoil and challenges that come with making difficult decisions stemming from past suffering.

Full version of Amutha’s post (Translated from Malayalam)

"The past few days have been the most challenging period for our family. Our family consisting of only four females… Till this day, we have used our social media profiles only to share our little moments of happiness and music. Each of us has faced massive cyberbullying, despite never breaching anyone else's privacy or disturbing them in any way.

We know that there is no need to mention the ongoing events, but let's just say that we relied on the law - after many years of struggle and silence - only to protect our lives and families... We never tried to hurt or defame anyone. Rather, the law was relied upon only to maintain the mental and physical well-being of the four girls, like any Indian citizen.

This issue, which was a constant discussion in the media, remains a case under consideration of the court today. After that, we do not want to make any statements regarding this matter or the case. It is not on the basis of any subsequent statements or facts from our side that this is again a topic of discussion in the media. We really don't want to make this a talking point again. We believe that the law will take its course and bring things to a proper conclusion.

After years of suppression and silence, we are now yearning for a change, embracing the courage we don't know from where… looking forward to the future with much prayer. Because even our father is not with us today. The days are ahead of us when we are trying to fly away with music, vlogging, and our little dreams like that... These three mothers of my daughter are alive to fight to the death to prepare a life for my daughter that she deserves and achieve the best.

You know we've faced many setbacks in our personal and musical lives because of these issues, and we're trying to bounce back with hope. To the media that helped shape our identities: we are trying to gather strength to overcome the conflicts stemming from our suffering.

In the meantime, please refrain from spreading misinformation. Those of us who have suffered from unverified news do not want to be pushed back down again; we’re unsure if we can rise mentally and physically from another fall.

While everyone makes mistakes, we have never acted immaturely or harmed anyone. We have always strived to reach new heights, guided by the music given to us through the grace of our parents, nature, and God.

Please stop the propaganda aimed at tarnishing our image. We have a young daughter at home with many dreams, and our only request is to protect her from any harm.

We have noticed that statements are still being published as headlines without our consent, and we urge you to remove them as much as possible. I have already explained this matter previously, so we kindly request that it not be made a topic of discussion again."
