Fans of Rajinikanth are in for a treat as his next film ‘Vettaiyan’ gears up for release with a unique addition—a song in Malayalam.
‘Manasilaayo’ became a memorable catchphrase from the 2023 hit Jailer, where it was delivered by actor Vinayakan. The phrase, which means “understood” in Malayalam, captured the audience's attention and became a cultural reference point.

Now, Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Vettaiyan is set to continue the legacy with its own Manasilaayo. The makers of Vettaiyan have announced that the first song from the film will feature a blend of Malayalam and Tamil lyrics, bringing a fresh touch to the soundtrack.
Lyca Productions shared this exciting update on their social media platforms, revealing a new poster and announcing that the song will be released on Tuesday. The poster invites fans to “Keep your speakers ready! Our Chettan is on the way with a perfect blend of MALTA!”
This song marks a special inclusion, as it is after a long gap that a Rajinikanth film will feature a Malayalam track.
The song will be released on Tuesday, with music composed by Anirudh. Fans are eagerly awaiting this release, as it brings back memories of Kuluvalilae from the 1995 film Muthu, which also had Malayalam lyrics and was composed by AR Rahman.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, who previously helmed Jai Bhim, Vettaiyan is Rajinikanth's 170th film. The movie is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner.
The film will also feature an ensemble cast, with Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Kishore, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan taking on key roles. Rajinikanth, 73, and Amitabh Bachchan, 81, will be sharing the screen once again after their collaboration in the 1991 Hindi film Hum, directed by Mukul S Anand.
Vettaiyan has been shot across various locations, including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad.
