Actress Honey Rose has spoken out for the first time regarding the sexual exploitation allegations emerging from the Malayalam film industry. She stated that anyone found guilty of such offences should be punished by law.
Following the release of the Hema Committee report several accusations were against prominent figures in the industry. Honey Rose addressed the media on this while returning from a private event.
Punishment for the guilty
Honey Rose made her position clear, stating that those responsible for sexual misconduct within the film industry should face the consequences as laid out by the law. “Those who have committed sexual exploitation in Malayalam cinema should be punished. They must receive the punishment that is prescribed by law,” she said, stressing the importance of the legal process.
The actress, however, clarified that she was unaware of any such incidents occurring on the sets of the films. "I don’t know of anyone who has been exploited on the sets I have acted in,” she added, emphasising her lack of knowledge regarding such occurrences in her working environment.
