On its fifth day in cinemas, the film experienced only a minor dip in collections. Strong word of mouth has propelled its performance across domestic and international markets, helping it sail past the ₹80-crore milestone comfortably.

Lokah Chapter 1 day 5 performance in India and overseas

By Monday, Lokah Chapter 1 earnings stood at ₹31.05 crore net (₹36.20 crore gross) in India. The film added ₹6.65 crore net on its fifth day, just a 35% decline from Sunday’s ₹10.10 crore take.

In international markets, the response has been equally strong. The film crossed $5 million, with an estimated Lokah worldwide collection of nearly ₹45 crore. Major contributions came from the Middle East and North America, pushing the film’s global total to ₹81 crore within just five days. With this momentum, it is expected to reach the ₹100-crore milestone by Wednesday.

Beating Malayalam cinema’s classics

Monday’s ₹15-crore global haul pushed Lokah Chapter 1 several places up in the list of highest-grossing Malayalam films, overtaking the lifetime earnings of Alappuzha Gymkhana (₹68 crore), Romancham (₹70 crore), Mammootty’s Turbo (₹73 crore), and the cult favourite Premam (₹73 crore).
