“During the shoot, I used to stay alone and avoid conversations,” the actor said.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra continues its juggernaut run at the box office, smashing records along the way. The entire cast and crew of the film have been showered with praise for their stunning efforts in assembling Malayalam cinema’s first female superhero. Those involved in the film have been sharing numerous anecdotes, reflecting on the hard work that went into building the universe, as well as their shared experiences during filming—highlighting their camaraderie and mutual respect.
One of the most notable performances in the film was that of choreographer-actor Sandy Master, who portrayed the menacing role of Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda. Right after the initial shows of Lokah, he became the talk of the town, with people equally in awe of—and scared by—his performance as the villain.
To the unversed, Sandy Master caught the attention of cinephiles for his portrayal of a noxious villain in Vijay’s Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. His terrifying role as the man who repeatedly enters Parthiban’s café, ominously asking for chocolate coffee, remains one of the most unforgettable scenes for those who have watched the film.
Now, in a conversation with Cinema Vikatan, while recalling his role in Leo, Sandy Master said,
“I mean, that was the role of a real psycho, and I never used to go home while filming it. Unlike playing Nachiyappa in Lokah, during Leo I used to stay alone and avoid conversations.”
The multi-talented film personality shed light on the intense preparation and dedication he brings to his performances.
Apart from being a compelling actor, Sandy Master is also an accomplished choreographer, having worked on films including Kaala and RDX (Malayalam). A popular reality show personality, he was also the runner-up in one of the seasons of the widely followed show Bigg Boss.
Fans of the Lokah Cinematic Universe are now eagerly awaiting to see whether Inspector Nachiyappa will return in future installments of the intriguing universe, which is deeply rooted in Kerala’s myths and folklore.
