Actor Ajith Kumar has reportedly escaped without serious injuries after his racing car was involved in an accident during an endurance event in Europe. According to a report by Filmibeat, the actor was competing when his car lost control and collided with another vehicle. Ajith is said to have emerged unharmed from the incident.

The actor has continued to pursue professional motorsport alongside his film career and races with his own team, Ajith Kumar Racing. The latest accident comes after a series of crashes he has experienced on racing circuits over the years.

This is not the first time Ajith has walked away from a serious-looking crash on the track.

In 2025, his car was involved in an accident during the GT4 European Series in Italy. He escaped without injuries on that occasion as well. Earlier the same year, he survived a dramatic double-rollover incident during the Porsche Sprint Challenge in Valencia, Spain.

He had also previously emerged unharmed after his Porsche crashed during practice for the 24H Dubai endurance race.

Despite these incidents, Ajith has continued to compete internationally. His racing career includes participation in the Formula Asia BMW Championships in 2003, as well as events under the Creventic 24H Series and GT4 European Series.

Ajith has previously spoken openly about what goes through his mind when he is involved in a racing accident.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India last year, the actor explained that his first concern after a crash is checking whether he is injured and assessing the condition of his car. Once he knows that both are fine, his focus quickly returns to the race and avoiding a DNF.

He also acknowledged the worry his racing career can cause his family. Ajith said that while he has been involved in some serious crashes, such incidents are also part of motorsport and attract greater attention because he is a film actor.

Ajith's racing career alongside cinema

Ajith is among the Indian actors who have taken motorsport beyond a hobby and competed on international circuits. His involvement has included both Formula racing and endurance events.

His passion for the sport has also led to the formation of Ajith Kumar Racing, through which he continues to compete internationally. A documentary chronicling his professional racing journey, Gladiators: In Pursuit of Challenges, has also been announced, with A.L. Vijay directing it.

While racing has occupied a significant part of Ajith's time recently, the actor also has a new film lined up. His next project, now titled ‘Dare Devil’, reunites him with director Adhik Ravichandran after ‘Good Bad Ugly’.

Ajith's wife, Shalini Ajithkumar, is producing the film under Brave Hearts Production, while Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. The makers have announced that production is expected to begin in September.
