Recalling an incident during her film debut, Faria described how, in her excitement at seeing Dulquer Salmaan’s response in her DMs, she threw her phone into the air.

Telugu actor Faria Abdullah has opened up about her deep admiration for Dulquer Salmaan, by candidly acknowledging that her desire to meet him was one of the ‘primary reasons’ she entered the film industry. The actor made these remarks in Dulquer’s presence during the trailer launch of the Telugu film Gaayapadda Simham, which stars director Tharun Bhascker in the lead role.
Recalling her journey, Faria shared that the first Dulquer Salmaan film she watched was Charlie. She confessed that while watching the movie, she used to imagine herself as the female lead. "Ever since I saw Charlie, I have had a special affection for Dulquer. It is a crazy level of fandom," she added.

The actor further narrated that she had always wanted to meet him in person. She also recounted an exciting moment from her early career: during the promotions of her debut film Jathi Ratnalu, she tagged Dulquer Salmaan in an Instagram post. To her surprise, he replied. Faria described how, in her excitement at seeing his response in her DMs, she threw her phone into the air. She added that she is a massive fan, admiring both his acting prowess and his personality.

Faria Abdullah transitioned to the silver screen from a theater background and has also appeared in several series. After her debut in Jathi Ratnalu, she went on to feature in major projects, including Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD. A recipient of the Telangana State Film Award, Faria spoke at the Hyderabad event where Dulquer Salmaan officially released the trailer for Gaayapadda Simham.
