Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest film, ‘Ranabaali’, has collected an estimated ₹16.50 crore worldwide on its opening day, according to early box office figures. The period drama earned ₹9.25 crore in India net collections on Day 1, with overseas markets contributing to its global total.

Data from industry tracker Sacnilk puts the film’s domestic gross at ₹10.75 crore, taking its worldwide gross to ₹16.50 crore. The overseas box office contribution is estimated at ₹5.75 crore. These figures are early estimates and may be revised as more collection data becomes available.

Ranabaali sees Telugu occupancy rise through the day

The film’s Telugu shows saw a rise in audience occupancy as the opening day progressed. Morning shows recorded approximately 55% occupancy, while the figure climbed to nearly 68% during night screenings.

The film’s overall box office performance in the coming days will depend on audience response and its ability to maintain footfall through the weekend. Ranabaali is currently playing in theatres.
Rather than presenting itself as a conventional biopic of one documented historical figure, ‘Ranabaali’ draws on a historical period marked by colonial rule and depicts the struggles of people in Rayalaseema.

The film centres on its titular character’s resistance to British authority, with Jayamma positioned alongside him in the fight. Its setting and historical backdrop form a key part of the story.
Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, the film is presented by T-Series.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna reunite

‘Ranabaali’ brings Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna together again after their previous collaborations in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Vijay plays the title character, a man from Rayalaseema who takes a stand against British oppression during the colonial period. Rashmika appears as Jayamma, his wife and partner in the struggle.

The film also features Arnold Vosloo as Sir Theodore Hector, an antagonist who represents British oppression in the story.

Ranabaali receives mixed reviews

Despite the opening-day collection, the film has received a mixed response from viewers and reviewers. Some reactions on social media have praised the performances of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna but questioned the screenplay.
