The much-anticipated collaboration between Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Srikanth Odela appears to be facing an extended wait, with Nani revealing that the project has not moved ahead as originally expected.

The film, announced in December 2024 with Nani attached as its presenter/producer, was billed as an intense and violent action drama. However, the long production schedule of The Paradise has altered the project's original timeline, while Chiranjeevi has since completed other films.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Nani said the Chiranjeevi film should ideally have been much closer to completion by now. However, the delay in wrapping up The Paradise meant that Chiranjeevi's schedule moved ahead with other projects.

“That will take time because this film [The Paradise] took time. Ideally, Chiranjeevi's film should have almost been in the end by now. But, we took too long. Chiranjeevi sir completed a few more films. So, we don't know. We haven't sat and had that discussion yet,” Nani said.

The project was announced in December 2024, bringing together Chiranjeevi and Srikanth Odela, who made his directorial debut with Nani's Dasara.

Nani's involvement as the film's presenter/producer added another significant link to the project, which was positioned as a major collaboration between the Megastar and the young filmmaker.

The announcement itself generated considerable buzz, particularly because of the film's dark and violent tone. The first-look material featured a bloodied hand, while the makers described the project as Chiranjeevi's “most violent film.”

The film was expected to mark a stark action-oriented outing for Chiranjeevi, with Odela following up Dasara with a project built around the veteran actor's larger-than-life screen presence.

However, Nani's latest comments suggest that the original schedule has slipped considerably. With Chiranjeevi having completed other commitments in the meantime, the teams are yet to sit down and decide how and when the project will move forward.
