Orry has opened up about an alleged 2021 incident involving Amrita Singh, describing it as one of the darkest periods of his life

Orry has opened up about one of the most difficult periods of his life, recalling an alleged incident involving veteran actor Amrita Singh in 2021.
In a candid conversation with Pinkvilla, the social media personality said the experience left him feeling traumatised and changed the way he dealt with criticism later in life. He also connected that phase to his stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, saying the emotional resilience he developed during that time helped him handle pressure.
Orry recalls his ‘dark’ phase
Looking back at 2021, Orry described the experience involving Amrita Singh as one of the lowest points he had faced. He said the people around him kept assuring him that he would eventually come out of it stronger, although that was the last thing he wanted to hear at the time.
“Back in 2021, when Amrita Ali Khan (Amrita Singh) traumatised me, it was a lot. I don't think I have been through something like this. It was a very low and dark time in my life that really put me through hell,” he said.
Orry said he understood the impact of that experience only much later. According to him, it made him far less affected by negativity, including the criticism that followed once he became a public figure.
“When I moved and got out of it, people were like you will get through this stronger. I was like 'I don't need that much strength.' Like who needs that much strength in their life. Then I realised nothing really affects me anymore. Like, nothing really makes me sad. I think the trauma I went through then actually made me strong enough that when I became a public figure, the amount of hate I used to get initially never affected me,” he added.
Orry also looked at the experience from a different perspective, saying he now feels it prepared him for situations where he would be under intense pressure.
He linked that change in mindset to his participation in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. Speaking about the show, he said the mental strength he developed after the 2021 experience became visible when he was pushed during the show's challenges.
“I guess in some way I should thank her because if she didn’t put me through that then, I wouldn’t have gotten through it after and then I was put into a test on Khatron Ke Khiladi, you can see my mental strength there,” Orry said.
Orry keeps details of the incident private
While Orry has spoken openly about how the incident affected him, he has not explained what exactly happened between him and Amrita Singh. When asked about the details during the Pinkvilla interview, he chose not to elaborate.
“Honestly, bad things happen to bad people. I am gonna leave it at that,” he said.
His comments come months after he had spoken about wanting an apology from Amrita Singh, saying that an apology could potentially help him move past the matter.
What happened between Orry and Sara Ali Khan?
The fallout has also affected Orry's once-close friendship with Amrita Singh's daughter, Sara Ali Khan. Orry and Sara were known to be close for years, but their relationship came under scrutiny after a series of social media exchanges earlier this year. Reports said Sara and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan unfollowed Orry after the controversy surrounding his posts and comments.
In January, Orry had also spoken about his strained equation with Sara and her family, saying he had distanced himself from both Sara and Ibrahim. The situation gained further attention after he shared a social media reel referring to “Sara, Amrita and Palak” as the “3 worst names”, although the post was later deleted.
