Kochi: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), which had previously witnessed mass resignations over the Hema Committee case, has now voiced its full support for actress Honey Rose, who is currently facing a cyber attack on social media. The organisation has pledged to assist her in her ongoing legal battle. AMMA's ad hoc committee issued a press release confirming their commitment to providing legal help if necessary and reaffirming their solidarity with the actress.
In their statement, AMMA condemned the malicious efforts by certain individuals to defame Honey Rose, a member of the Malayalam film industry, by targeting her on social media. The organisation stressed the need to protect the dignity of actors and stand against attempts to undermine their profession.

The incident began when Honey Rose criticised an individual who had been posting double-meaning remarks about her online. She took to social media to call out the comments, following which several defamatory remarks appeared under her post. The actress filed a formal complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police regarding the matter. While a case has been registered against 30 individuals, only one person has been arrested so far.
Following the police action, Honey Rose took to social media to express her resolve. "If there are indecent and obscene references in the criticisms against me, I will come after you, studying all the protections given to women under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita," she wrote, declaring, "To the indecent and obscene language experts on social media, I declare war on you for all the women who are going through the same situation as me."
