Chennai: Actress Kayadu Lohar, known for her work in Tamil and Telugu cinema, has opened up about the negative news and rumours circulating about her, expressing emotional distress over the allegations. In an interview with a Tamil YouTube channel, the actress admitted that the constant scrutiny has been challenging and shared that she is unsure why she has become the target of such speculation.

Kayadu, who gained fame with her performance in Ashwath Marimuthu’s Dragon alongside Pradeep Ranganathan, addressed rumours linking her to an alleged investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with irregularities at TASMAC, Tamil Nadu’s state-run liquor corporation.

“I have been thinking about this for a long time. I do not come from this background; this is new to me. I never thought something like this would hit me so hard,” Kayadu said emotionally. She added, “All I did was be good to people. I just followed my dreams. I didn’t know what wrong I did. When I see these comments, When i see people talking about it, it's not easy to read.”

The actress acknowledged that criticism is part of her profession but admitted the ongoing speculation has affected her deeply. She urged people to be mindful before spreading negativity, saying, “The only question is- I didn't do anything. Why are you targeting me?...It's a real person you're talking about and it does hurt that person, so it will be a little kind to people and think that the person might read this and might not feel good about it.”

Despite the negativity, Kayadu added “It doesn’t mean that it will break me. I’ll always put my head up, move forward, and work. No matter how much hate or love I receive. I will stay grateful and numb toward the hatred. Giving up is not an option for me.”

Rumours linking her to the TASMAC scam and related casting couch allegations have fueled speculation online, but Kayadu’s response highlights her commitment to professionalism.
