Actor Allu Arjun has set social media buzzing after announcing his upcoming film with blockbuster director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Sharing his excitement on X, the actor hinted at a new phase in his career and confirmed the long-anticipated collaboration, also bringing composer Anirudh Ravichander on board.

In his post, Allu Arjun wrote that he was “locked in mentally” and excited about beginning a new journey with Lokesh Kanagaraj, whom he referred to as a maverick filmmaker. He also expressed enthusiasm about finally working with Anirudh Ravichander, calling him a brother, and said he could not wait to start the project.

The film, temporarily titled AA23, has been jointly announced by Mythri Movie Makers and BV Works. An announcement video released alongside the reveal has quickly gone viral, fuelling expectations of a large-scale pan-Indian entertainer. Fans are anticipating a visual spectacle that blends Lokesh Kanagaraj’s signature filmmaking style with Allu Arjun’s screen presence and flair.

Music for the film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Allu Arjun. Given the successful track record of the Lokesh–Anirudh combination, the announcement has further amplified the hype surrounding the project.

According to the makers, the shooting of AA23 is scheduled to begin in August 2026. Industry indications suggest that Allu Arjun will be seen in a look unlike anything he has done before.

The film is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, with co-production by Bunny Vas, Natti, Sandy and Swathi. Public relations duties are being handled by Athira Diljith.
