Actress and producer Sheelu Abraham has criticised Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, and Antony Varghese (Pepe) for their recent promotional video, which she claims unfairly excluded other films. The video, in which the three actors wished each other good luck for their upcoming films, has sparked controversy. She also commented that this behaviour is a clear example of how 'power groups' operate in the film industry.

"Dear Tovino, Asif, Pepe... Thank you for showing us how 'power groups' operate. In the video you created to display your unity and affection, you are misleading the audience into believing that only three films are releasing this Onam. You have ignored our films - Bad BoysKummattikali, and Gangs of Sukumara Kurup - which are also releasing for Onam. The Malayali audience is more powerful than the self-serving power groups. Our film is releasing tomorrow. I hope all films released during this Onam succeed and that everyone profits from their investments," Sheelu stated.

Bad Boys director Omar Lulu also came forward in support of Sheelu, asking, "Asif, Tovino, Pepe... haven't you all faced challenges to reach cinema? Why have you overlooked us?"

In addition to Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Kishkindha Kandam, which are the first Onam releases hitting theatres on September 12, Antony Varghese's Kondal is set to release on September 13.
