As several Malayalam artists, including men, come forward with sexual allegations against prominent actors and directors, 90s actress Charmila, known for her roles in Keli, Kabooliwala, and other films, has also made serious accusations against several key figures in the industry.

Charmila claims that a well-known producer and his friends attempted to rape her. She also accused 28 people, including major actors, of abuse.

Charmila also alleges that director Hariharan requested "adjustments" from her. The film industry is now facing intense scrutiny as these accusations unfold. She was excluded from a film after refusing to comply with the demands.

She accuses MP Mohan, producer of the film Arjunan Pillayum Anchu Makkalum, of this exclusion. According to Charmila, director Hariharan asked actor Vishnu if Charmila would give in, and when Vishnu said no, both he and Charmila were dropped from the movie Parinayam. Charmila stated that directors, producers, and actors are among those who have misbehaved.

While Charmila mentioned that many of her friends have also been affected, she chose not to disclose their names. She added that, because she has a son, she is not pursuing any further action at this time.
