Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Nivin Pauly has raised suspicions that the sexual harassment complaint against him might be part of a conspiracy. He has also suggested that individuals from the Malayalam film industry may be behind the allegations. Nivin pointed out these things in a formal complaint lodged with the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) at the crime branch headquarters.

The controversy began after the release of the Hema Committee report, which led several actresses and others to come forward with allegations against various actors and directors. Nivin Pauly’s name was included among the accused.

Allegation against Nivin claimed that he had sexually assaulted the complainant in a hotel room in Dubai after promising a professional opportunity. Nivin immediately denied the accusation and announced plans to take legal action against the complainant. Following this, people including actor Vineeth Srinivasan, actress Parvathy Krishna, and Bhagath Manuel presented evidence disputing the complainant’s claims.

The Crime Branch ADGP H Venkatesh is leading the Special Investigation Team.

Nivin has asked for a thorough investigation into the origins of the harassment complaint, emphasising his belief that there is a serious conspiracy at play, potentially involving figures within the Malayalam film industry.

Earlier, when the allegation first surfaced, Nivin had also sent an email complaint to the Director General of Police (DGP) regarding the same.
