Actress Honey Rose has filed a police complaint at Ernakulam Central Police Station, alleging that she was the victim of a cyberattack after calling out sexually inappropriate remarks. The complaint, lodged against approximately 30 individuals, follows her social media post in which she accused a person of persistently making derogatory and double-meaning comments.

In her complaint, Honey Rose claimed that the remarks were followed by a barrage of harsh misogynistic comments.

What triggered the cyberattack?

Earlier, the actress took to Instagram, detailing the repeated humiliation she faced from a person, including at an inauguration ceremony. After this incident, the actress decided not to attend any future events hosted by the individual’s organisation. Honey Rose revealed that the individual was using social media to defame her and insult her womanhood with malicious comments.

Although she refrained from naming the person responsible, she made it clear that the public was already aware of the identity, as the matter had gained considerable attention on social media.

She emphasised that her decision to speak out was prompted by the severe distress caused to her and her family, and she would pursue legal action if the behaviour persisted.
