Book direct flights from Mumbai to Phuket with Akasa Air starting Sept 20, 2025. Affordable fares & convenient schedules.

Akasa Air is set to enter Southeast Asia with the launch of daily direct flights between Mumbai and Phuket, Thailand, starting September 20, 2025. This will be the airline’s sixth international destination, with tickets now available on its website, mobile app, and major online travel portals.
Phuket, a favourite among Indian holidaymakers, is also a significant hub for trade and tourism in the region. The airline said the new service will offer both morning and evening departures from Mumbai, giving passengers more flexibility in planning their trips.
Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air, said the new route reflects the changing profile of Indian travellers. “India is stepping into a new era of outbound tourism, driven by a growing number of people eager to explore the world. By offering conveniently timed, daily direct flights to Phuket, we are not only fulfilling the aspirations of today’s Indian traveller but also strengthening cultural and economic ties between India and Thailand,” he said.
Neelu Khatri, Co-Founder and Senior Vice President – International, said the expansion is part of the airline’s larger vision to make global travel more accessible. “Thailand has always been a top choice for Indian travellers, and the demand for direct, affordable international connections is only rising. With Phuket now part of our network, we are furthering our commitment to providing seamless and budget-friendly global travel options,” she said.
Akasa Air currently serves 23 domestic destinations and, with Phuket’s addition, six international cities, Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, and Phuket. The airline said it plans to keep expanding its overseas network while continuing to focus on affordable connectivity for Indian passengers.
