The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, is set to release the TN SSLC Result 2026 today at 9:30 am. Around 8.71 lakh students who appeared for the Class 10 board examinations between March 11 and April 6 will be able to check their marks online.

Students can access their results on multiple official portals, including tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, dge2.tn.nic.in, and apply1.tndge.org. These websites are expected to handle heavy traffic once the results are declared.

Steps to check TN SSLC result online

To download the provisional marksheet, students must visit tnresults.nic.in and click on the “TN SSLC Result 2026” link. They need to enter their registration number and date of birth. After submitting the details, the result will appear on the screen, which can be downloaded and saved for future use.

The online scorecard will include subject-wise marks, total score, candidate details, school name and qualifying status. However, this document will remain provisional until original marksheets are issued by schools.

Alternative ways to access results

To make result access easier, the Tamil Nadu board has also enabled alternative methods:

  • DigiLocker and UMANG app

Students can log in using a registered mobile number or Aadhaar-linked account and download their digital marksheets.

SMS facility

Candidates can send an SMS in the format:

TNBOARD10 followed by date of birth and registration number to 9282232585 to receive marks directly on mobile phones.

Heavy traffic expected on result day

Due to lakhs of students accessing results simultaneously, official websites may slow down or temporarily crash. Students are advised to remain patient and use alternate platforms such as DigiLocker, UMANG, or SMS services if needed.

Students are advised to carefully verify all details on their marksheet, including name, registration number, subject-wise marks and pass status. In case of discrepancies, they must contact their respective schools immediately.

Original marksheets and certificates will be distributed later by schools across Tamil Nadu.

The TN SSLC examinations were conducted smoothly this year with participation from nearly 8.71 lakh students. The Tamil Nadu board has consistently recorded strong pass percentages in recent years, with over 90% performance in most cycles.
