Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad, Haryana, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the aegis of UNESCO has invited applications for admission to the interdisciplinary doctoral programmes in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics.

Eligibility: For admission to the PhD programme in Biostatistics, applicant should hold a Master's degree in Statistics or Mathematics with minimum of 60% marks. For admission to the PhD programme in Bioinformatics, applicants need Master's degree in Computer Science/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Biotechnology with specialization in Bioinformatics with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Master’s Degree. Those appearing in the final examination are also eligible to apply.

Selection:  Eligible candidates will be called for a written test and interview at RCB on 23-24th July, 2020.

Stipend: Selected candidates shall receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 45000 per month for the first two years of the programme and Rs. 50000 for the next three years. The stipend shall be subject to taxes as per Govt. of India rules. Continuation of stipend is subject to satisfactory progress made by the student to be evaluated annually. A total of four students may be selected annually to these programmes.

Online application can be submitted through the link provided in the Notification, latest by 15th June, 2020. Application Fee is Rs.500/-. SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
