Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh-211004, has invited applications for admission to its Ph.D. program (Full-Time/Part-Time/Sponsored) for Odd Semester Session 2024-25.

Ph.D Programs are offered in Applied Mechanics, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Geographic Information System (GIS) Cell, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and School of Management Studies. All the Departments offer full-time and part-time Doctoral Programmes under following categories: (i) Institute Stipendiary Full-Time Research Scholar: Students with Institute fellowship on a Semester-to-Semester basis on the satisfactory academic performance, as per PhD Ordinance of the Institute (ii) Sponsored Full-Time Research Scholar: Receiving fellowship from agencies such as UGC, CSIR, QIP, DST, AICTE, etc. (iii) Sponsored Part-Time Research Scholar: Employees of Government / Semi-Government Organizations / R&D Organizations or government academic institutions (iv) Faculty/Staff/Sponsored Project Fellow of MNNIT Allahabad- Part-Time Research Scholar: Faculty/Staff/Project Fellow of MNNIT Allahabad.

Eligibility for admission is as follows: 

Engineering: Master Degree in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology or B.Tech. with Research or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Master’s Degree in Science/Applied biological sciences/Computer Application or in any appropriate discipline. 

Management, Humanities and Social Science: Master’s Degree in Management / Technology / Engineering / Economics / Commerce / Science / Computer Applications / Social Science / Humanities or B.Tech. with Research or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) having minimum three years of professional experience as practicing Chartered Accountant. 

Sciences: Master’s Degree in relevant discipline or B.Tech. with Research or equivalent or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 

Geographic Information System (GIS) Cell: M.Tech. or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing or equivalent discipline/Civil Engineering/ Computer Science and Engineering /Electronics Engineering /Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /Information Technology /Agriculture Engineering /Mining Engineering or M.Sc. or equivalent degree in GIS & Remote Sensing/Applied Geology/ Geophysics/Geography/ Environmental Science/Computer Science/Mathematics or Degree in Master of Computer Application or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Applicants meeting above mentioned eligibility criteria must have Mathematics as subject up to 10+2 level.  

Applicants should have the prescribed marks/Grade in the Qualifying examination as given in the Information Brochure.

The application fee is Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST/PwD) which can be paid online. 

If a candidate is applying in more than one department, then he/she should fill separate application forms with the prescribed application fee for each department. 

Last date for receipt of printed and signed application forms in the respective departments is 17-05-2024.
