Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Vadodara; an Institute of National Importance, under Ministry of Education, Govt of India; Block No. 9, c/o Government Engineering College Campus, Sector 28, Gandhinaga, Gujarat -382028, has invited applications for admission to its full time PhD Programme (Winter 2023-24).

PhD Program is offered in following specialization areas: 

Computer Science & Engineering (CSE): Cryptography, Information Security, loT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Image Processing, Computational Music, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems and relevant areas in CSE. 

Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE): Wireless Communications, Wireless Sensor Networks, Signal Processing for Communication, Machine Learning, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, loT, Data Science, 5G communication and relevant areas in ECE. 

Physics: Quantum Systems. 

Humanities: Applied Linguistics and Literature, Science Technology and Society studies. 

Mathematics: Cryptography, Algebra 

Eligibility: Engineering - First class in M.Tech./ME in CSE/IT/ECE or related areas or First class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas, MCA or B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 or 80% marks. 

Sciences and Humanities - First class in M.Sc./M.A. in relevant areas.

Applicants are required to make an online payment of Rs. 200/- (inclusive of GST) as Application Form Fee via NEFT/IMPS etc to the specified bank account.

Screening of candidates will be on December 31, 2023 (Monday) 

Selection: Selection is based on the performance in the written exam followed by an interview. Written Exam and interview will be held at Gandhinagar campus from 10.30 am onwards on January 02, 2024. Final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam followed by the interview. Result will be published on the Institute website on January 08, 2024.
