Karnataka Veterinary, Animal & Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU), Nandinagar, Bidar-585401, has notified the admissions to the Master's and Doctoral degree programs at the constituent colleges of the University for 2023-24.

Eligibility: For admission to Masters’ Degree, applicant should have  a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary / Dairy / Fisheries science from any Institute / University accredited by ICAR / VCI, New Delhi with OGPA of 6.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA / equivalent percentage of marks for general category and 5.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA / equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates at Bachelor’s degree level for Veterinary and Animal Sciences; OGPA of 6.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA / equivalent percentage of marks for general category and 6.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA / equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates at Bachelor’s degree level for Dairy and Fisheries Sciences. Applicant should be a citizen of India and must have studied in any educational institution(s) in Karnataka State for a period of not less than seven academic years at any time up to the Bachelor degree as on 1st July of the admission year. (Not applicable to candidates who are GOK, GOI, ICAR nominees, NRIs and Foreign Nationals (FN)). However, in the event of candidates not available in a particular subject, then the domicile requirement of seven years could be relaxed to outside state candidates. Candidate must have appeared for All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Masters’ degree Programme (AIEEA-PG) conducted by NTA-ICAR New Delhi in the academic year 2023-24 in the specified subject.

For admission to Doctoral Programme, there is no domicile requirement. Applicant should hold Masters’ degree in respective or allied subject from any Institute / University accredited by ICAR, New Delhi with an OGPA of 7.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA / equivalent percentage of marks for general category and 6.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA / equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/Category-I candidates at Masters’ degree level. Applicant must have appeared for All India Competitive Examination for Admission to Doctoral Degree programme (AICEA-PhD) conducted by NTA-ICAR New Delhi in the academic year 2023-24.

Mode of selection: Selection for Masters’ and Doctoral degree programmes shall be done on the basis of rank scored by the candidate in All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Masters’ degree Programme (AIEEA-PG) and All India Competitive Examination for Admission to Doctoral Degree programme (AICEA-PhD) conducted by NTA-ICAR New Delhi in the academic year 2023-24. No separate PG entrance examination shall be conducted by KVAFSU, Bidar unless otherwise required.

Application: Applications can be submitted online latest by 20.11. 2023,by visiting website for PG admission 2023-24 given in the Information Bulletin at https://www.kvafsu.edu.in/admission.html along with requisite application fee of Rs. 750/- for SC/ST and Cat-I candidates and Rs. 1500/- for GM and other categories candidates.
