Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow has invited applications for admission to its full time MSc Nuclear Medicine Programme by for the Session 2026-27, approved by Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) Mumbai.

Course Duration is 2 years (4 Semester), followed by 6-month compulsory Internship. Maximum duration of the course is 4 years.

Essential Qualifications: Applicant should have passed BSc Nuclear Medicine or BSc with Physics and Mathematics as subjects as a regular candidate from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidate having domicile of Uttar Pradesh). Applicants must possess the requisite qualification recognised by the respective bodies that approve the qualifying course, as on December 31, 2025.

Those who have obtained their qualifying degree through correspondence courses and those who have undergone BSc training in other imaging courses are not eligible.

Age: Minimum age should be 17 years. Upper age limit is 35 years as on December 31, 2025.

Reservation: Reservation will be as per U.P Government rules for candidates having domicile of Uttar Pradesh only. Reserved category candidates should produce an authentic certificate of their category, issued by a competent authority. Reserved category candidates having domicile other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated as General category candidates for all purposes.

Application fee: Application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST) to be paid online only.

Selection: Admission will be through entrance examination of 120 minutes’ duration, to be conducted by the Institute on 15.01.2026. Date will be intimated through hall ticket/website.

The Entrance Examination will have 100 questions from Physics (25 questions), Chemistry (25), Biology (20), English (10), Current affairs (10), Mathematics & Computer (10). Each correct response will get 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect response. Candidates must get 50% marks to qualify the test /Examination. Reserved category candidates need only 45 %.

Final result of the entrance test will appear on the Institute’s website latest by 12 pm, on the next day of examination.

Counselling: All the qualified candidates of the entrance test have to appear in the counselling as per the procedure laid down by the Institute. It will be held offline at RMLIMS Academic Block on the next day of exam. The details of exact time & Venue will be displayed on Admit Card/Website.

There are 6 seats for the course (UR- 4, OBC – 1. SC – 1).
