Office of the Director of Medical Education, Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram has invited applications for admission to Professional Diploma Courses in Pharmacy, Health Inspector and Paramedical Courses, Kerala for 2025-26.
Admission to the Programs will be made by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology, based on the Prospectus issued by the Government.
The Diploma Programs offered are the following: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm); Health Inspector; Medical Laboratory Technology; Radio diagnosis& Radiotherapy Technology; Radiological Technology; Ophthalmic Assistance; Dental Mechanics; Dental Hygienist; Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology; Cardio Vascular Technology; Neuro Technology; Dialysis Technology; Endoscopic Technology; Dental Operating Room Assistance; Respiratory Technology; Central Sterile Supply Technology.
The Health Inspector course is under the administrative control of the Director of Health Services. All other courses are under the administrative control of the Director of Medical Education.
Admissions to the above courses are regulated on the basis of merit as assessed in the rank list prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination(s).
Seats against which the Director of Medical Education/Director of Health Service makes allotment are called ‘Government Seats’. Government seats are available in all the Government Institutions, Government-Controlled Self-Financing Institutions and Private Self-Financing Institutions that enter into an agreement with the Government. Seats other than Government seats against which concerned managements make allotments are called Management seats.
Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to professional courses unless otherwise notified. Holders of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cards/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However, PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.
Candidates seeking admission to the courses will be categorised as ‘Keralite’, Non-Keralite category I (NK-I) and Non-Keralite category II (NK-II). Details are given in the Prospectus at www.lbscentre.in
Academic Eligibility: For D Pharm, the applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala state with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics as Optional subjects.
For Courses other than D Pharm, applicants should have passed Higher Secondary examination/equivalent with 40% marks (35% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together.
Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on 31.12.2025. There is no upper age limit for General Candidates. The upper age limit for service candidates is 49 years.
Application can be submitted online at https://lbscentre.in/ latest by 12th August, 2025. Application fee of Rs 600/- (Rs 300/- for SC/ST) can be paid online or by way of a Challan (to be generated online) at any branch of Federal Bank in Kerala. Final confirmation of online applications is to be completed by 15th August, 2025.
Rank List: There will be two Rank Lists. Rank List for allotment to D Pharm (DP) course will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained by candidates for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics put together in the final year of the qualifying examination. Rank List for other courses will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by candidates for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology put together in the final year of the qualifying examination. The procedure for Normalisation of marks is given in the Prospectus.
The Centralised Allotment Process for Government Seats in Government Institutions/Self Financing Institutions and in Government Controlled Self Financing Institutions, for which the allotment is made by the Director of Medical Education, will be through a Single Window System (SWS) to be done by the Director, LBS Centre, under the supervision of the Director of Medical Education.
Candidates included in the rank list can register their institution(s)/course(s) options within the time schedule specified, from any computer having Internet facility.
